The National Brain Aneurysm & Tumor Center is led by Eric Nussbaum, MD, and Leslie Nussbaum, MD, PhD—highly subspecialized neurosurgeons dedicated to treating and caring for patients with complex problems involving neurovascular and skull base issues. Its neurosurgeons care for patients with brain aneurysms, vascular malformations, carotid artery narrowing, and brain tumors including meningioma, acoustic neuroma, glioma and other complicated tumors. As subspecialists in open microsurgery, as well as CyberKnife stereotactic radiosurgery, the team offers patients the full spectrum of options. Eric Nussbaum, MD, leads the Neurovascular Neurosurgery Program at United Hospital and Leslie Nussbaum, MD, PhD, is co-director of the John Nasseff CyberKnife Center at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minn.

John Nasseff Neuroscience Specialty Clinic physicians Eric Nussbaum, MD, Sandra Hanson, MD, Michael Madison, MD, and Arif Shaik, MD were honored at the United Hospital Foundation’s Service to Humanity Gala on Sept. 29 as the 2018 Physician Honorees.

Dr. Nussbaum is a national expert in the diagnosis and treatment of brain aneurysms and vascular malformations. He is among a small group of surgeons worldwide who specialize in microsurgery for brain aneurysms. He has performed more than 2,000 complex surgeries to treat brain aneurysms, more than 1,000 operations for skull base tumors and more than 400 brain bypass surgeries.
Dr. Nussbaum leads the Neurovascular Neurosurgery Program at United Hospital. He and his team provide consultation and surgical care for hundreds of patients each year from across the country and world with brain aneurysms, brain tumors and other complex neurovascular conditions.
